About This Award
The Sunshine State School Public Relations Association (SUNSPRA) created the Margie Davidson Leading Light Award in 2003 to recognize the “shining lights” in our community who support K-12 public education.
Procedure
Submissions will be through SUNSPRA’s electronic awards platform and include the following:
- Description of the nominee’s contributions to a program/project that has created a positive change over a 3-5 year period of time in one of the following categories (500 word limit):
- Student Achievement
- Connecting the Community to Schools
- Education Advocate
- Career and Technical Education
- Describe the evaluation process of the program/project and the results over a 3-5 year period of time. (500 words limit)
- Provide a brief background of the nominee and their relationship to public education (250 words limit)
- A high-resolution headshot of the nominee
Criteria
Identified nominees’ programs and projects must have been in place for a minimum of three years and include evaluation information on success in one of the identified categories.
Nominations must be submitted no later than Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
Entries for this award are $50 for members, and $75 for non-members.
